Salary – £45,000 - £50,000 per annum

Location – Lancaster

Contract – Fulltime, Permanent Position

Hours – Continental Shift (2 days 2 nights 4 off) 7:00am – 7:00pm

MDE Group UK is seeking a skilled Industrial Electrician to join our team.

The Role

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Industrial Electrician to provide planned preventative and predictive maintenance service and support to our factory operations.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Perform scheduled and planned maintenance repairs of equipment to ensure optimal performance and availability.
  • Attend emergency/unscheduled repairs of factory equipment during unplanned shutdowns to minimize downtime.
  • Capable of repairing electrical, electro-mechanical, pneumatic & hydraulic devices to ensure smooth factory operations.
  • Perform preventative maintenance on machines and equipment throughout the factory to prevent breakdowns and extend lifespan.
  • Safely use all hand and power tools to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose problems related to electrical failure, report conditions, and recommend steps to be taken to resolve issues.
  • Perform preventative maintenance such as changing contacts, checking motors, according to instructions to ensure optimal performance.
  • PLC knowledge is an asset but not essential for this role.
  • Install cables, conduit, for new equipment or replacing old ones to ensure seamless integration.
Requirements
  • The Industrial Electrician will have a sound knowledge of electrical preventative engineering principles with a comprehensive understanding of condition-based plant monitoring systems.
  • Candidates should possess a formal technical qualification in Electrical Engineering i.e. NVQ Level 3 / C&G Level 3 Electrical, HNC or equivalent.
  • General knowledge of industrial plant and process equipment is essential.
  • A good working knowledge of Health and Safety legislation and the application of continuous process environment is required.
