SEN Teaching Assistant Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team at Step Teachers. As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting children with special educational needs in a primary school setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work effectively with the class teacher and SENCO to provide individualized support to children with SEN
  • Assist with lesson planning and preparation to ensure a tailored learning experience for children with SEN
  • Maintain a safe and organized classroom environment, ensuring accessibility for all students
  • Collaborate with other staff members to implement school policies and procedures

Requirements:

  • Recent experience working as an SEN Teaching Assistant in a primary school
  • A nurturing nature and the ability to inspire learners of all abilities
  • A relevant Level 2 or 3 qualification is desirable
  • SEND experience is desirable
