Job Summary:

Eildon Housing Association is seeking an experienced professional to join our team as a Climate Change and Energy Advisor. As a key member of our sustainability team, you will play a crucial role in helping us achieve our goal of reducing carbon emissions and promoting energy efficiency in our communities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide person-centred, impartial advice, support, and information to customers on energy efficiency, water, and heating consumption, renewable energy, and low-carbon alternatives.
  • Deliver outreach services to customers' homes, community advice sessions, presentations, and attend events to promote energy efficiency and sustainability.
  • Assist the Sustainability Co-ordinator in the delivery of Eildon's Decarbonisation Roadmap, including customer engagement, research, data monitoring, and evaluation.
  • Work with housing, care, and property services colleagues to identify customers in need of energy advice and support and deliver accurate, impartial, relevant, and engaging energy advice and support to householders in-person, over the phone, and at community events.

Requirements:

  • Graduate degree in a relevant field, preferably with experience in energy efficiency, sustainability, or a related field.
  • City & Guilds Level 3 Energy Awareness Qualification or equivalent.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with diverse stakeholders, including customers, colleagues, and community groups.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to collect and analyze data, identify trends, and develop effective solutions.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong commitment to delivering high-quality results and meeting deadlines.
