Housing Solicitor Job Description

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Housing Solicitor to join our team at Law Staff Ltd. As a Housing Solicitor, you will be responsible for providing expert legal advice and representation to clients on a range of issues relating to homelessness, disrepair, and possession actions.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert legal advice and representation to clients on housing law cases
  • Work on a wide range of housing law cases, including homelessness, disrepair, and possession actions
  • Develop and maintain a good working knowledge of relevant legislation and case law
  • Understand and apply the legal aid system
  • Represent clients in court, tribunal, and other forums
  • Provide clear and concise advice to clients
  • Manage a busy workload and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Work autonomously and take initiative when necessary


Requirements:

  • At least two years' experience in housing law
  • Good working knowledge of relevant legislation and case law
  • Understanding of the legal aid system
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Ability to empathise with clients
  • Ability to provide clear and concise advice
  • Highly organised and able to manage a busy workload
  • Ability to work autonomously and take initiative
