Job Title: Network Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Network Engineer to join our team in Farnborough, UK. As a Network Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our data centre hosted IT application and infrastructure solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement modern, highly available, scalable networks using a range of new and emerging technologies, including automation.
  • Work with delivery teams to implement network solutions that meet the needs of multiple lines of business.
  • Utilise the concepts and principles of verification and validation to deliver relevant network designs.
  • Collaborate with customers on all aspects of network management, including the assurance and integration of infrastructure services.
  • Recognise and exploit business opportunities by leveraging architecture and design best practice.
  • Communicate effectively across organisational, technical, and political boundaries, understanding the context.
Requirements:
  • Strong knowledge and demonstrable experience of data centre and campus networking technologies, including Cisco, Palo Alto, F5, and encryption.
  • Strong understanding of routing protocols in data centre, campus, and wide area networks.
  • Strong experience of operating high availability data centre networks supporting critical workloads on Windows, Linux, and SAN.
  • Strong experience of monitoring and management tooling, including Solarwinds, FMC, and Panorama.
  • Good general knowledge of Windows Server Environments, including OS build, AD, DNS, DHCP, and GPO, and Linux (RHEL) data centre server infrastructures.
  • Good general knowledge of Microsoft Stack technologies, including MS SQL and MS System Centre.
  • Excellent analysis and problem-solving skills, taking ownership of complex incidents and ensuring they are resolved to the satisfaction of the customer.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Knowledge and experience of working in Agile and or Scaled Agile delivery teams, where secure by design is the approach to delivery.
