The Opportunity: Senior Design Engineer

We are seeking a talented and experienced Senior Design Engineer to join our dynamic Capital Design team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in developing innovative and sustainable water treatment solutions that address the challenges of waste infrastructure, flooding, and water quality.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Provide mechanical or electrical design for technical solutions across a range of water treatment projects.
  • Conduct feasibility evaluations and assessments to determine the viability of proposed designs.
  • Create detailed designs and specifications for AMP (Asset Management Plan) programs and beyond, ensuring compliance with industry standards and codes of practice.
  • Develop innovative design solutions that consider environmental sustainability, climate change mitigation, and carbon reduction targets.
  • Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless project delivery.
  • Lead and mentor junior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development.
  • Communicate technical information clearly and concisely to stakeholders at all levels.

Your Qualifications:

  • A recognized engineering degree in mechanical or electrical engineering.
  • Proven experience in design engineering, with a strong understanding of relevant standards and codes of practice.
  • Experience in developing designs and specifications for commercial negotiations.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence decision-makers.
  • A forward-thinking mindset, capable of anticipating challenges and adapting to a rapidly evolving environment.
