Job Description

Sirona Medical Ltd is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Children's Social Worker to join our team as an Advanced/Senior Practitioner in the Children in Care Team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement individualized plans for children in care, ensuring their needs are met and their permanency plans are achieved.
  • Collaborate with the Contact Service to promote family time and support children in developing strong networks of support.
  • Work closely with the management team to ensure effective coordination of children's plans and provide high-quality direct work with allocated children.
  • Contribute to the development and progression of Social Workers within the team, providing supervision and practice development support.
  • Participate in the recruitment and selection process for new staff members, ensuring the team has the necessary skills and expertise to deliver high-quality services.
Requirements:
  • Qualification in social work (DipSW, MSc, CQSW, or CSS)
  • Registration with the HCPC as a social worker
  • Substantial experience as a qualified social worker, including experience in children's social care and safeguarding
  • Knowledge of children's social care policies and procedures
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and contribute to the development of others
