About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Paediatrician to join our team at King's College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. The successful candidate will have a strong interest in Paediatric Allergy and a proven track record of delivering high-quality patient care.

Main Responsibilities

  • Work collaboratively with the acute paediatric team to transform the way primary care, community services, and secondary care paediatric services work together.
  • Develop and deliver Paediatric services within Bromley ICS, including general paediatric and allergy clinics at PRUH, in-reach clinics within Child Health Hubs, and MDT triage.
  • Contribute to the development and delivery of the SE London Child Health Hub model and the local B-CHIP model.
  • Play an active role in the general workload of the Care Group, including teaching and training of junior staff.

Requirements

  • MRCPCH or equivalent qualification.
  • APLS/EPLS provider status, up to date.
  • Full registration with GMC and CCT in Paediatrics or equivalent.
  • Experience and training equivalent to that for gaining UK CCT in Paediatrics.
  • Experience of working in the UK, managing children in the acute and outpatient setting.
  • Thorough understanding of principles of medical audit and quality improvement.
  • An understanding of clinical governance, patient safety, and corporate risk.
  • Evidence of contribution to effective clinical audit and clinical risk management.
  • Ability to lead change and demonstrate a commitment to teaching and training.

Desirable Qualifications

  • SPIN module accreditation in Paediatric Allergy.
  • Experience working independently at consultant level in general paediatrics.
  • Relevant research experience in one or more aspects of paediatric allergy.
  • Publication of relevant review articles or case reports.
