Biffa Waste Services is a leading provider of waste management solutions, and we're seeking a highly skilled Mobile Chemist to join our team. As a Mobile Chemist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient collection and transportation of hazardous waste.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Visit customer locations to identify, list, and prepare waste streams for safe transportation
  • Handle small containers of chemicals and pack them into larger containers to prevent damage during transport
  • Generate information to identify and classify waste materials, ensuring safety and handling advice can be prepared
  • Assess and handle waste in an approved manner, ensuring Health, Safety, and Environmental compliance
Requirements:
  • HNC Chemistry qualification (minimum)
  • GCSE or equivalent in Mathematics and English Language
  • IT literate – using MS Office
  • Proven record of working to clearly defined KPIs
  • Knowledge and understanding of chemical hazards and relevant laws
  • Able to interpret safety data sheets
  • Knowledge and understanding of COSHH symbols and associated road transport diamonds
  • Knowledge and understanding of working within a time-critical hazardous waste environment
