Senior Hydrologist Job Description

Our Sustainable Water Management Team at WSP is seeking a Senior Hydrologist to join our team and contribute to the delivery of our national programme of work. As a key member of our team, you will have the opportunity to drive the direction of projects, working with other disciplines within the water team and overseeing and mentoring junior hydrologists.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Undertake Quality Assurance and independent technical reviews to ensure the highest standards of work.
  • Prepare project and technical reports and presentations to communicate complex ideas effectively.
  • Support business development by identifying prospective opportunities and contributing to the preparation of proposals.
  • Provide project, commercial, and financial management for projects, ensuring timely delivery and budget adherence.
  • Bring commercial experience, including project management and bid preparation, to drive business growth.
  • Relevant experience of delivering infrastructure projects or working with local authority/national government is essential.
  • Desirable skills include GIS, Flood Risk Assessments, and knowledge of UK flood risk policy (NPPF and TAN15).
