About the Role

TDM Recruitment is seeking a highly skilled and ambitious Land Acquisition Director to join our client's care and retirement division. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for sourcing and acquiring land for development, working closely with the managing director to drive business growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sourcing and acquiring off-market land for development in the care and retirement home sector
  • Building and maintaining relationships with care home operators and developers
  • Liaising and negotiating with landowners and agents to secure land purchases
  • Overseeing legal, planning, and design consultants to ensure smooth land acquisition and development
  • Staying up-to-date with town planning policy and regulations in key areas

Requirements:

  • Degree-qualified in a property-related field
  • Proven track record of sourcing and acquiring land for development, with a minimum of 3-4 deals per year
  • Experience working in the care and retirement home sector, with a strong understanding of the planning application and appeals process
  • Strong network of contacts in the land agency world
  • Determined, hungry, and ambitious individual with a passion for deal-making
  • Ability to work autonomously and independently from the rest of the team
