About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Poultry Farmhand to join our team at Avara Foods, a leading food business in the UK. As a Poultry Farmhand, you will be responsible for the welfare of our flock, ensuring their health and well-being.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collecting, screening, and packing eggs onto trays, including completion of paperwork
• Looking after bird welfare, including feeding and general farm duties
• Working in poultry houses, laying shavings, and handling chickens

Requirements:

• Motivated and flexible individual with a good work ethic
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment
• Manual handling training and previous experience in an agricultural environment or similar position
• Poultry welfare certificate or NVQ Level 2 in livestock production is desirable
