Key Responsibilities- Design Team Leadership: Provide guidance and direction to the design team, ensuring that they have the necessary resources and support to complete projects successfully.
- Project Management: Oversee the design process, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
- Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, manufacturing, and quality assurance, to ensure that design solutions meet business needs.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement changes to increase efficiency and productivity.
- Performance Management: Conduct regular performance reviews and provide feedback to design team members to ensure they are meeting performance expectations.
- CAD Software Experience: Proficient in CAD software, including Autodesk Inventor.
- Engineering Qualification: Hold a mechanical engineering qualification or equivalent.
- Management Experience: Proven experience in managing design teams and leading projects.
- Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex design problems and develop effective solutions.
- Competitive Salary: £50,000 - £55,000 per annum.
