About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Inclusion Officer to join our team at Outwood Academy Hemsworth. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in supporting the academic and personal development of our students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work closely with the SENDCO to identify and address the needs of our students, ensuring they receive the support they require to thrive.
  • Develop and implement strategies to promote equality and inclusion within the school community, fostering a culture of respect and mutual support.
  • Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and external agencies to provide targeted support to disadvantaged and vulnerable groups of students.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of individualized learning plans, ensuring students receive tailored support to meet their needs.
  • Provide guidance and support to parents and carers, ensuring they are informed and involved in their child's education.
Requirements
  • Extremely well-organized with the ability to prioritize workload and meet strict deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, staff, and external agencies.
  • Ability to work on your own initiative, be a role model to others, and effectively manage others.
  • Strong understanding of the SEND Code of Practice and ability to apply it in practice.
