Job Overview

The Council is dedicated to enhancing the appeal of Falkirk as a desirable location for residents, workers, and visitors alike.

To achieve this goal, we are looking for individuals who possess a proactive mindset towards transformation and a versatile work ethic. We seek enthusiastic team members to ensure the continued delivery of services to our community within the Customer First Contact Centre.

Our Contact Centre handles a significant volume of customer interactions, addressing inquiries and requests through various channels including phone, email, and online platforms. Our operational hours typically span from 9am to 5pm, with some services extending to 8am to 8:30pm. We require collaborative individuals committed to providing exceptional service at the initial point of contact, managing both urgent and routine inquiries from the public and internal stakeholders.

Applicants must have prior experience in a similar customer-facing role.

Demonstrating outstanding communication and customer service abilities is essential. Candidates should be numerate, proficient with digital systems, and capable of accurately processing a diverse range of inquiries and service requests while ensuring customer confidentiality. Proficiency in the Gaelic language is a plus.

A solid understanding of the Council's statutory responsibilities and familiarity with the functions and procedures of its various services is expected. Additionally, a working knowledge of ICT databases relevant to the services offered by the Contact Centre is advantageous.

Applicants should possess at least an SVQ Level II in Customer Service or an equivalent qualification, or demonstrate relevant experience.

We currently have one temporary full-time position available, supporting a hybrid working model that allows for remote work for the majority of the time.
