Position Overview: Warehouse Operative

We are seeking dedicated individuals to join our Chill Department. The successful candidates will focus on ensuring the efficient and safe production of high-quality finished products while embodying Müller’s core values.

Contract Type: Full Time / Permanent

Salary: £30,605.20

Shift Pattern: 4 on 4 off – 2 days and 2 nights (6am – 6pm / 6pm – 6am)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manually pack products into trolleys, ensuring quality and identifying any discrepancies.
  • Transport both full and empty trolleys within the chill area.
  • Perform asset care and deep cleaning on equipment.
  • Maintain high standards of manufacturing, hygiene, and health and safety throughout shifts.
  • Participate in effective handovers between shifts.
  • Complete all necessary documentation accurately and timely.
  • Operate trolley wash and ensure an adequate supply of trolleys for fillers.
  • Lead by example in promoting safety and technical standards in alignment with company values.
  • Assist coordinators and team leaders with various tasks as required.

Müller Responsibilities:

  • Uphold stringent hygiene standards.
  • Adhere to food safety regulations and site quality procedures.
  • Continuously seek improvements in chill standards.
  • Exercise reasonable care for personal and others' health, safety, and welfare.
  • Cooperate with the company to fulfill statutory obligations.
  • Actively promote and comply with all company policies and values.

Work Environment:

This role requires working in a chilled environment. All necessary personal protective equipment, including Hi-Vis coats, will be provided.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in manual packing is advantageous but not essential.
  • Familiarity with voice picking systems such as Zetes & AS400.
  • Strong teamwork and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to adapt to changing production plans.
  • Effective communication and listening skills.
  • Demonstrated initiative and prioritization abilities.
  • Proven track record as an effective team member.
