Job Summary

Page Personnel Finance is seeking a skilled Conveyancing Paralegal to join our team in Perth. As a Conveyancing Paralegal, you will play a crucial role in supporting our lawyers with the day-to-day running of files, drafting legal documents, and assisting with a large caseload.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drafting and Reviewing Documents: You will be responsible for drafting and reviewing legal documents, including contracts, agreements, and other relevant paperwork.
  • Assisting with Caseload Management: You will assist our lawyers with managing a large caseload, including tasks such as ordering routine property searches, dealing with post-completion and exchange of contract matters, and updating the case management system.
  • Supporting Fee Earners: You will provide administrative support to our lawyers, including tasks such as creating and amending property-related documentation, producing routine correspondence, and liaising with solicitors and other estate agents/mortgage brokers.
  • Client Communication: You will be responsible for communicating with clients, including taking instructions from solicitors for sale and purchase files, and liaising with clients to ensure their needs are met.
  • Team Collaboration: You will work closely with our team to ensure the smooth operation of our conveyancing department, including supporting the senior Conveyancer with their conveyancing caseload and carrying out property searches.

Requirements

  • Conveyancing Knowledge: You will have a working knowledge of conveyancing and be familiar with conveyancing or finance legal practice.
  • Communication Skills: You will have good communication skills, with the confidence to liaise openly and clearly with colleagues and clients.
  • Technical Skills: You will have experience of working in a legal environment and be proficient in using computers and software, with good keyboard skills.
  • Attention to Detail: You will have the ability to produce a high standard of work, sometimes under pressure, while maintaining accuracy and good attention to detail.
  • Client Focus: You will have practical experience of handling client enquiries both face-to-face and by telephone, and be able to demonstrate a commitment to personal development.
