We are seeking an exceptional Postdoctoral Research Assistant to join our team at the University of Exeter. As a key member of our research group, you will contribute to the development of innovative research projects, collaborate with colleagues, and engage in knowledge exchange activities.
About the RoleThis full-time position is available from 1st February 2025 to 30th December 2028. You will work closely with the Principal Investigator, Dr. Celso Neto, and other team members to advance our understanding of the philosophy of science, particularly in the areas of ethics, race, and racism.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct original research, develop research proposals, and collaborate with colleagues to achieve project goals.
- Organize events, workshops, and conferences to disseminate research findings and engage with stakeholders.
- Develop and maintain partnerships with scientists, scholars, and industry partners to advance research impact.
- Contribute to the development of research outputs, including papers, reports, and presentations.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- A PhD or equivalent qualification in philosophy or a related field.
- Training and experience in philosophy of science, with a special interest in issues around values in science and/or race and racism.
- Openness to interdisciplinary methods and related fields of research, such as history and philosophy of science (HPS), science and technology studies (STS), and critical race theory.
- Sufficient specialist knowledge to develop collaborative and interdisciplinary research projects and communicate complex information clearly.
