Position Overview

Gold Group is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Process Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a valid UK driving license and be prepared to travel as necessary.

Key Responsibilities

You will be an integral part of a well-established team, contributing to a variety of exciting and complex projects that incorporate cutting-edge technologies. Your role will involve:

  • Acting as a project manager, overseeing project proposals, and managing client relationships.
  • Providing expert guidance in the biomethane and anaerobic digestion sectors, addressing the challenges faced by our clients.
  • Delivering comprehensive engineering services across multiple disciplines, including civil, geotechnical, transport, chemical, process, materials, and mechanical engineering.
  • Engaging in all phases of project execution, from initial concept designs to commissioning and performance optimization.
Process Engineering Expertise

The Process Engineering team is dedicated to offering specialized knowledge at every stage of a project, including:

  • Overall project and program management.
  • Assistance with project development.
  • Operational support, maintenance, and troubleshooting of plants.
  • Commissioning and performance testing of facilities.
  • Front-end engineering and conceptual design studies.
  • Providing technical training and instruction.
Focus Areas

This role will primarily concentrate on the biomethane supply chain while also supporting business development initiatives and collaborating with specialists on waste, wastewater, recycling, and circular economy projects, both domestically and internationally.

Collaboration and Project Management

You will work closely with colleagues in the process engineering team and other departments, including Advisory, Environmental Management, and Compliance, to manage:

  • Waste management and recycling projects throughout their lifecycle.
  • Preparation of concept designs and feasibility studies.
  • Review of third-party designs and technical proposals.
  • Technical due diligence reports for funding entities.
  • Technical and procurement documentation, including schematics and contract management during plant construction.
On-Site Responsibilities

Your duties will also include:

  • Conducting on-site inspections and supervising construction, commissioning, and testing activities.
  • Troubleshooting operational plants, including waste and recycling operations and other renewable energy projects.
  • Building and maintaining relationships with existing and prospective clients, attending industry conferences, and writing proposals to secure new projects.
Candidate Profile

The successful candidate will have:

  • Experience managing biomethane and anaerobic digestion projects within the waste and recycling sectors.
  • A collaborative mindset that aligns with our One Team culture.
  • A solid understanding of biomethane, with experience in construction projects as an engineer, consultant, project manager, or operator.
  • A degree in Engineering, Biochemistry, or a related field.
  • Strong analytical skills, proficiency in data handling, and excellent report writing capabilities, particularly in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
