About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Field Engineer to join our Airport Operations team at London Gatwick Airport. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in the successful delivery of complex construction projects across the airport.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Management: Lead and manage construction management resources to ensure the successful delivery of projects, develop their skills, and maintain quality standards.
  • Safety and Compliance: Deliver regular site safety engagement to ensure compliance with Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) standards and promote a positive HSE culture.
  • Quality Assurance: Review contractor CDM and quality and commissioning submittals for quality and compliance.
  • Site Inspection: Inspect work to ensure compliance with drawings and specifications.
  • Project Coordination: Coordinate with project delivery teams and engineering colleagues to ensure all works are installed to plan.
Requirements
  • Experience: Proven experience as a Senior Field Engineer or Section Engineer managing complex multi-year and £multi-million projects, typically with a value of £15 million.
  • Leadership: Experience in leading small teams and managing resources.
  • Project Handover: Experience in handover and closeout of projects.
  • HSE Knowledge: Knowledge in addressing HSE issues associated with construction.
  • Quality Management: Understanding and knowledge of quality management.
  • Leadership Qualities: Motivational and leadership qualities.
