Role Overview
The Technical Support division is in search of a Senior Software Support Account Manager who will deliver post-sales assistance across enterprise-grade SAS business software applications and solutions for designated strategic clients. This role serves as a customer advocate and escalation point, liaising between various SAS divisions. You will provide valuable insights throughout the customer lifecycle and contribute significantly to the success of the client relationship with SAS.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as a strategic technical consultant to clients regarding SAS support activities.
- Maintain proactive communication with clients and SAS experts during issue resolution, ensuring accurate documentation in the tracking system throughout the lifecycle of each issue.
- Set and manage expectations for both internal and external stakeholders, coordinating problem escalation activities as necessary, even outside of regular business hours for critical issues.
- Develop a deep understanding of SAS products and the specific business challenges they address, applying your expertise to assist clients in navigating their unique requirements and operational capabilities.
- Stay informed about competing vendor products and advise clients on the effective use of SAS solutions in conjunction with these offerings.
- Collaborate with technical support teams, SAS divisions, and partners to keep all stakeholders informed about issues, suggestions, and general feedback.
- Identify and communicate account insights to sales teams, highlighting potential software or service sales opportunities.
- Propose and manage special projects aimed at enhancing the overall support experience.
Required Qualifications
- Excellent communication skills.
- 7-8 years of experience in a leadership capacity.
- In-depth knowledge of SAS products and their applications.
- Strong organizational skills and problem-solving abilities.
- Proven understanding of corporate account needs and the support industry.
- Ability to creatively contribute to the development of company objectives and principles.
- Experience delivering presentations to diverse audiences.
- Willingness to travel as required by business needs.
- A curious, passionate, authentic, and accountable mindset.
