About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Healthcare Assistant to join our team at Lancashire Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. As a Senior Healthcare Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and supporting our clinical teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical support to patients and staff, ensuring the highest standards of care and safety.
  • Assist with the delivery of patient care, including taking samples, monitoring vital signs, and administering medications.
  • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to achieve excellent patient outcomes.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of patient care plans, ensuring individual needs are met.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, identifying areas for improvement and contributing to solutions.
Requirements
  • GCSE Maths and English grade C or above (Grade 4-9) or Functional/Key Skills level 2 numeracy and literacy.
  • BNCS or NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care or internal Level 2 training programme.
  • Must be willing to undertake Trust internal Level 3 training programme course.
  • Previous experience of working in an acute healthcare or related setting.
  • Understanding of health and safety issues within healthcare.
  • Understanding of the concept and application of confidentiality.
