Food and Beverage Assistant Role

We are seeking a skilled Food and Beverage Assistant to contribute to the success of our team at Keswick Reach Lodge Retreat in Cockermouth, Cumbria.

This is a permanent part-time position, requiring 16 hours of work across 2 varied days, including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays.

Shift times will vary, and flexibility is essential to meet the needs of the business.

Typical shift patterns include 9:30am - 6pm, 12pm - 8:30pm, 2pm - 10:30pm, or 5pm - 9pm.

Main Responsibilities
  • Assist with food and drink orders
  • Clear and reset tables in the restaurant
  • Serve food and beverages promptly and efficiently
  • Manage accurate and efficient stock rotation
  • Handle cash transactions using the EPOS system
  • Maintain the cleanliness and presentation of the bar and restaurant areas to a five-star standard
  • Assist with the swift collection of glasses and tableware
Requirements
  • Previous experience in a similar role is preferred
  • Excellent customer service and strong communication skills are essential
  • A driving license and the ability to drive are required for this role due to the use of Resort vehicles
