Department Structure: The successful candidate will join a dynamic team comprising 4 consultants, 2 specialist registrars, 2 clinical fellows, and 3 specialist nurses. The department specializes in areas such as inflammatory bowel disease, viral hepatitis, and endoscopy. Notable gastroenterology services include ERCP, oesophageal physiology, capsule endoscopy, and fibroscanning.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct high-quality diagnostic and therapeutic upper and lower GI endoscopy.
- Provide a comprehensive outpatient Gastroenterology service, including patient administration.
- Participate in weekly multidisciplinary meetings and monthly governance discussions.
- Contribute to the educational program in General Medicine, including departmental meetings and teaching.
- Act as a joint educational and clinical supervisor for SpRs in Gastroenterology.
- Engage actively in regular gastroenterology governance meetings.
