Job Overview

Gecko Travel Recruitment is excited to partner with a dynamic Travel Media organization. They are seeking a Lead Product Strategist to enhance their team on a permanent basis.

In this pivotal role, you will report directly to the head of product and be an integral team member, responsible for overseeing the complete product lifecycle, from initial strategic planning through to post-launch assessment. Your collaboration across various departments will be essential in optimizing the product pipeline, providing both internal and external stakeholders with the tools necessary to maximize sales and identify new growth opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Overseeing the development and management of internal product timelines and schedules from inception to completion.
  • Strategically planning the product pipeline to maintain an ideal balance between offerings developed for the in-house Tour Operator and those sourced through external partnerships.
  • Fostering robust supplier relationships.
  • Negotiating product package distributions and monitoring availability, while sourcing alternative options as needed.
  • Ensuring the consistent delivery of a compelling product assortment that resonates with our media partner audiences and supports the company's sales objectives.

Qualifications:

  • 4-5 years of experience in product management and contracting within a tour operator environment (preferably in escorted touring).
  • Experience in operations.
  • Strong commercial insight.
  • Ability to thrive under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Established supplier relationships within the travel sector (preferred).

Additional Details:

  • Competitive salary range of £38-42,000 based on experience.
