Security Officer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Security Officer to join our team at the Port of Dover. As a Security Officer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and security of our operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out patrols across the site to identify and mitigate potential security threats.
- Conduct thorough vehicle searches and personal body searches as required.
- Monitor fire alarms, intruder alarms, and CCTV systems to ensure prompt response to any security incidents.
- Collaborate with colleagues to maintain a high level of security awareness and vigilance.
- Respond to security incidents and emergencies in a professional and effective manner.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A valid SIA license and a minimum of 1 year's experience in a security-related role.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and stakeholders.
- A high level of physical fitness and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work a variety of shifts, including days, nights, and weekends.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing circumstances and priorities.
