Job Overview
Required Availability:
Candidates should be available for client matching during peak hours, specifically from 8 am to 12 pm and 4 pm to 8 pm.
Responsibilities of Home Instead Caregivers:
- Conducting visits of at least one hour in the client's residence.
- Supporting personal hygiene routines.
- Administering or reminding clients about their medications.
- Performing light cleaning tasks.
- Assisting with shopping and various errands.
- Providing companionship and emotional support.
- Preparing meals for clients.
- Offering assistance with nutrition and hydration.
- Communicating with Home Instead and maintaining daily records.
- Establishing strong, personal connections with clients.
Required Qualifications
Home Instead caregivers receive training in the following areas:
- Personal hygiene assistance.
- Medication oversight.
- Basic life support techniques.
- Safe moving and handling practices.
- Food safety protocols.
- Awareness of dementia care.

- Adult safeguarding practices.
- Progress towards obtaining a Care certificate.
