Job Description

**Role:** Mechanical Fitter - Contract or Permanent

**Salary:** £40,000 - £45,000

**Contract hourly rate:** £20 - £30

**Location:** Oxfordshire

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Fitter to join our team at Charles Levick Limited, a leading sustainability business based in Oxford. As a Mechanical Fitter, you will be responsible for working on and installing industrial equipment, pipes, valves, tanks, and mechanical structures, both indoors and outdoors.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Experience working on industrial equipment, pipes, valves, tanks, and mechanical structures
  • Ability to work unsupervised and interpret engineering drawings and instructions for physical builds
  • Use of workshop equipment to build systems
  • Hold a mechanical or process engineering qualification
  • Experience of working on customer sites, preparation of RAMS and other site-specific requirements
  • Hold a valid First Aid certificate (advantageous)

**Requirements:**

  • Effective hands-on skills with good practical skill levels and experience of pipe fitting in an industrial environment
  • Positive mentality, demonstrating drive and endurance to achieve results
  • Proactive and innovative, with the ability to overcome engineering issues on site
  • Good communication and relationship-building skills with colleagues and customers
  • Ability to work at heights (up to 3 meters via scissor lift)
