Job Title: Senior Finance Compliance Manager

Location: Remote (Hybrid model with occasional office presence)

Reporting Structure: This position reports directly to the Senior Manager of Policy & Controls.

Role Overview: The Senior Finance Compliance Manager will play a pivotal role in establishing and maintaining the financial governance framework within the organization. This position is responsible for the development and enforcement of accounting and reporting policies, as well as managing the finance risk registers to ensure compliance with internal financial reporting controls.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Foster a robust culture of financial discipline and compliance across all finance teams.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to facilitate business process modifications that impact internal controls.
  • Act as a liaison between the organization and external auditors regarding internal control matters.
  • Assist in the formulation of policies, standards, and governance methodologies.
  • Monitor compliance with internal policies and procedures.
  • Support the creation of business process taxonomy, risk assessments, and documentation of essential business processes.
  • Conduct quality reviews of business processes and activities, assessing the effectiveness of internal controls.
  • Engage in special projects and enhancements, evaluating risks and impacts on the control environment.
  • Collaborate with Finance Systems to implement improvements in ledger and consolidation systems.
  • Serve as an advocate for financial governance across all business operations.
  • Participate in ad hoc project initiatives as required.
Qualifications:
  • Experience in internal audit or monitoring of internal controls within a large regulated organization.
  • Proven ability to enforce adherence to group policies with a strong sense of personal integrity regarding compliance.
  • Proficient in MS Office applications, including Visio or similar tools.
  • Familiarity with Power Query or Power BI is advantageous.
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills, particularly at senior levels.
