Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and meticulous Materials Handler to join our Warehouse Operations team in Horsham. This role is crucial in ensuring the timely and cost-effective movement of all materials and products to the point of need, supporting our high-performance targets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Material Receipt and Inventory Management: Receive, check, and book in materials, ensuring accurate entry into our computer systems.
  • Kitting and Preparation: Prepare and kit parts for manufacturing, ensuring they are ready on time and accurately recorded.
  • Stock Management: Manage stock using FIFO principles and maintain our internal K-Bin replenishment systems.
  • Support to Materials Team Leader: Support the Materials Team Leader in achieving departmental KPI objectives, including daily cycle counts and stock minimisation tasks.
  • Material Handling and Unloading/Loading: Unload/load delivery vehicles using our company Forklift Truck and manage the disposal of unrequired materials in compliance with COSHH/ISO14001 regulations.
  • Continuous Improvement: Participate in continuous improvement activities and contribute to achieving our company's business, quality, and environmental objectives.

Requirements:

  • Experience: Previous experience in material handling within an electronic manufacturing environment.
  • Skills: Strong numeracy, literacy, and computer skills, particularly in MS Office.
  • Knowledge: Knowledge of JIT (Just-In-Time) and KANBAN processes.
  • Personal Qualities: Excellent diligence with strong problem-solving and follow-up skills.
  • Teamwork: Ability to work well under pressure, meet deadlines, and contribute as part of a team.
