We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Ecologist to join our team at Norfolk Wildlife Services. As a Senior Ecologist, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality ecological services to our clients, while contributing to the protection and conservation of nature and wildlife.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead and deliver on a range of ecological projects, including protected species surveys, site and habitat assessments, and conservation management advice.
- Collaborate with our team to provide comprehensive ecological expertise to ensure our clients' projects move forward while protecting and benefiting nature and wildlife.
- Develop and implement effective mitigation measures to minimize the impact of development on the environment.
- Conduct ecological field surveys, including protected species surveys, and provide expert advice on survey guidance and best practices.
- Prepare high-quality reports, including Preliminary Ecological Appraisals, management plans, and Ecological Impact Assessments.
- Minimum of 4 years' relevant work experience in ecology or a related field.
- Strong understanding and experience in the application of UK environmental legislation and policy.
- Experience in ecological field survey work, including protected species surveys.
- Up-to-date knowledge of survey guidance for a range of protected species.
- Valid UK driving license and access to own transport with business insurance use.
