We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Psychology Graduate to join our team as a SEND Teaching Assistant. This is an exciting opportunity for a graduate looking to gain hands-on experience and make a real difference in the lives of young students with additional needs.
Key Responsibilities:- Supporting Students with SEND: Provide 1:1 and small group support to students with a range of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), helping them to access the curriculum and engage in learning.
- Collaborating with Teachers: Assist teachers in delivering tailored lessons and interventions, promoting academic and personal development.
- Enhancing Student Experience: Support students with communication, social skills, and emotional regulation to enhance their school experience.
- Working with the SENCO: Collaborate with the Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCO) and other professionals to ensure a holistic approach to each student's individual needs.
- Creating a Positive Learning Environment: Create a positive, inclusive learning environment where every student can thrive.
- A degree in Psychology or a related field, with a strong interest in working with children with SEND.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build rapport with students, staff, and parents.
- A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach to supporting children's learning and development.
- A desire to gain experience in an educational setting, with a long-term interest in SEND or educational psychology.
