About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Compliance Monitoring Specialist to join our team at Connells Group. As a key member of our compliance team, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the delivery of second-line monitoring and mystery shopping activity across our estate agency functions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Regularly analyze individual mystery shopping results to identify areas for improvement.
  • Prepare and present regular, prompt, and concise reporting on findings to senior leaders, including recommendations for addressing weaknesses.
  • Track and report on the progress of remedial actions and provide guidance to management on implementing necessary improvements.
  • Collaborate with the Data Analytics and Reporting Specialist to supply regular reports to committees on risks identified through mystery shopping.
  • Stay up-to-date with best practices and external developments in monitoring and ensure that learning is applied.
  • Assist with special investigations as required, including occasional visits to branches.
  • Identify and escalate significant regulatory issues to the line manager in a clear and accurate manner.

Requirements

  • Relevant experience within the estate agency industry, with knowledge of mortgage services preferable.
  • Sound understanding of estate agency regulations, including TPOS code of conduct and FCA Regulation.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Attention to detail and ability to deliver high-quality written work and reporting.
  • Confidence to provide commercial challenge to the business.
  • Relevant professional mortgage qualification or willingness to undertake qualification.
