Job Introduction

In a Nutshell

We are seeking an experienced Accounts Supervisor to join our finance team at Exclusive Hotels and Venues. The successful candidate will assist the Financial Controller in all aspects of accounts and work within agreed timelines. Key responsibilities include maintaining and reporting accounting records and controls accurately for all income and expenditure of the hotel, in line with company policies.

Role Responsibility

Lots to do but lots of fun

  • Deputise in the absence of the Financial Controller
  • Conduct internal audits on a regular basis
  • Ensure all costs are reported correctly in the nominal ledger
  • Assist in the preparation of management accounts in line with group policy and deadlines
  • Maintain up-to-date fixed asset records
  • Assist with the completion of monthly balance sheets within set timeframes
  • Prepare national statistics monthly report and additional reports as required
  • Protect revenue by dealing with issues quickly and efficiently, resulting in minimal cost to the business
  • Complete the weekly payroll, support monthly payroll and journals accordingly
  • Assist with the time and attendance system (Promark), including training within the hotel to Head of departments and users
  • Assist in the training and development of colleagues as required
  • Self-motivated and able to work to tight deadlines

The Ideal Candidate

Are you right for us?

  • Experienced in accounting
  • Ideal AAT qualified or similar
  • A team player and willing to assist other members of the accounts team and other departments
  • Must be numerate, with a key attention to detail
  • A confident communicator both with internal and external customers
  • Excellent IT skills, particularly Microsoft Excel
  • Knowledge of SAGE INTACCT accounting system and HART – PMS/EPOS system would be a distinct advantage
