About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Junior Project Engineer to join our team at Kingston Barnes Ltd. As a key member of our Engineering Department, you will be responsible for overseeing all engineering and production activities on site within our growing facility.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and implement several concurrent engineering projects, ensuring timely completion and within budget.
  • Specify engineering requirements for projects, working closely with vendors and subcontractors.
  • Contribute to the selection of equipment and service vendors, ensuring optimal performance and cost-effectiveness.
  • Manage vendor performance to contract, ensuring compliance and quality standards.
  • Supervise project subcontractors, both on and off site, to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Produce detailed and accurate project costings, providing valuable insights for future projects.
  • Prepare a formal monthly capital and revenue project report, highlighting key achievements and areas for improvement.
  • Play an active role in the operation of the Engineering Department, contributing to the development of new systems and processes.
  • Maintain and update the site drawing register, ensuring accurate and up-to-date documentation.
Requirements
  • Engineering background, with a strong understanding of electrical engineering principles.
  • Interest in project engineering, with a passion for delivering high-quality results.
  • Electro-mechanical qualifications or background, with experience in PLC systems.
