About the Role:

As a Senior Social Worker, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive support to vulnerable families, focusing on parenting and life skills. Key Responsibilities:
  • Assessment and Reporting: Complete thorough assessments and reports within deadlines, ensuring accurate and timely information for involved professionals and agencies.
  • Meeting Facilitation: Chair meetings and maintain positive relationships with professionals and agencies, fostering effective communication and collaboration.
  • Program Leadership: Lead specific parenting programs, providing guidance and support to residents and staff.
  • Court Evidence: Provide statements and court evidence when necessary, ensuring the best interests of children and families are represented.
  • Referral and Placement Planning: Handle referrals and facilitate placement planning meetings, working towards achieving positive outcomes for children and families.
  • Statutory Duties: Fulfill statutory duties in alignment with National Standards and Regulations, ensuring compliance and best practice.
Requirements:
  • Qualifications: Holds a degree or equivalent in social work.
  • Experience: Ideally experience of managing or supervising social workers, with a solid understanding of relevant legislation and regulations.
  • Registration: Maintains current SWE registration.
  • Skills: Demonstrates experience in specialist PAM's assessments and psychodynamic frameworks, shows proficiency in parenting programs and safeguarding practices, and exhibits confidence in providing court evidence.
