Estimator Position Summary

Candidate Profile

  • Experience in engineering, steel, or fabrication manufacturing is preferred.
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD and the ability to interpret technical drawings is a significant advantage.
  • Strong customer service orientation with excellent communication skills.
  • Experience in handling quotes and managing customer expectations.
  • Ability to perform under pressure to meet established budgets and objectives.
  • Analytical mindset with a proactive approach.
  • A collaborative team player.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess customer requirements based on CAD drawings and documentation.
  • Prepare and submit detailed quotations for the costs of products and services.
  • Source quotes from third-party suppliers.
  • Build and maintain relationships with contractors and relevant authorities.
  • Conduct research on material, transport, and labor costs.
  • Prepare bids for contracts.
  • Utilize a digital platform for contract opportunities based on algorithmic searches.
  • Maximize business opportunities.

Salary and Benefits

  • Competitive salary range of £34,000 - £36,000.
  • 28 days of annual leave, increasing to 31 days after five years of continuous service (including 8 statutory bank holidays).
  • Eligibility for a company shares scheme after six months of continuous service.
  • Access to private medical care, life insurance, and an employee assistance program after six months of continuous service.
  • Participation in the Rewards Gateway Scheme.
