Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Support Worker to join our team at Queens House, a specialist purpose-built dementia care unit in the Scottish Borders. As a key member of our care team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to our residents who experience conditions such as dementia, physical health conditions, and end-of-life care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Attend to the daily care needs of our residents, including their personal care needs, under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse and Senior Healthcare Support Workers.
  • Provide person-centered care and support to our residents, promoting their independence and autonomy.
  • Work collaboratively with the care team to develop and implement individualized care plans that meet the unique needs of each resident.
  • Contribute to a positive and supportive team environment, promoting a culture of compassion, commitment, and collaboration.
Requirements
  • A genuine passion for working with older people, dementia, and high-quality care.
  • Compassion, hard work, and a team player attitude.
  • Ability to work a flexible rota system over a 7-day period.
  • SVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification in healthcare.
