Job Title: Domestic Assistant
Job Summary:
NHS Scotland is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Domestic Assistant to join our team. As a Domestic Assistant, you will be responsible for maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness in our healthcare settings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work as part of a team or independently to maintain a clean and safe environment
- Communicate effectively with colleagues and management to ensure seamless operations
- Respond to unpredictable situations and work under pressure to meet deadlines
- Complete domestic-related paperwork and adhere to health and safety protocols
- Participate in mandatory training and adhere to infection control guidelines
- Perform a range of duties in a safe and competent manner, including walking, standing, bending, and lifting
- Work in busy clinical and non-clinical environments, including areas with increased heat and secure units
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to professional standards
- Learn and adapt to new situations and procedures
Requirements:
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Basic knowledge of health and safety and infection control protocols
- Ability to lift, bend, and stand for extended periods
- Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and public holidays
