Learning Coach - Engineering

Type: Full time, 37 hours per week

Pertemps Newcastle & Gateshead is proud to partner with a leading apprenticeship provider to recruit a Learning Coach in the Engineering division.

As an Engineering Tutor, you will be responsible for delivering Level 3 Apprenticeships on the following qualifications:

  • Level 3 Engineering Technician - Mechanical and Electrical pathways
  • Level 2 Foundation Competence
  • Level 3 Development Competence
  • Level 3 Development Knowledge

Your teaching commitments will consist of both classroom and workshop environments.

You will ensure evidence for learning, achievement, funding, and Ofsted is captured effectively and timely, including:

  • Creating individualised learning programmes, agreed with employer and learner based on initial assessments and including Maths and English.
  • Delivering Maths and English (and ICT where applicable), to support the learners' achievement and progress in these areas.

You will work closely with IQAs on best practice, development needs, and providing sampling, monitoring as detailed in the IQA plan.

Key requirements include:

  • Relevant occupational sector experience and relevant qualifications (at a level 3 or higher than delivery).
  • Functional Skills Level 2 in English, Maths, and ICT or equivalent, or willing to undertake.
  • Teaching qualification Cert Ed/CTTLS/DTTLS.
  • Knowledge of Government funded training.
