Role Overview:
The Concrete Plant Operations Supervisor plays a crucial role in overseeing the daily operations of the batching plant, ensuring compliance with company standards in Health & Safety, Environmental, and Quality management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Relief Plant Supervisor and District Operations Manager to manage site operations effectively.
- Ensure adherence to Health & Safety protocols and environmental policies set by Heidelberg Materials.
- Provide exceptional customer service by accurately batching quality concrete.
- Manage material handling processes, including inventory management and stock maintenance.
- Conduct routine maintenance and housekeeping of equipment, reporting any defects promptly.
- Maintain compliance with the company's code of conduct and operational policies.
Accountabilities:
- Batch concrete according to approved systems and procedures.
- Ensure the plant is adequately stocked with necessary materials for production demands.
- Handle customer inquiries and orders professionally.
- Coordinate with contractors and office staff to meet production requirements.
- Manage waste disposal, water discharge, and dust emissions in line with environmental procedures.
- Perform regular inspections and maintenance to uphold plant standards.
- Report any incidents that may impact health & safety, environmental integrity, or product quality.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and secure site environment.
- Foster positive relationships with third parties and contractors.
- Perform additional duties as required.
Qualifications:
While prior experience is beneficial, it is not mandatory as comprehensive training will be provided. Strong communication skills are essential.
