Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Class 1 LGV Driver to join our team at Cameron Clarke Associates. As a Class 1 LGV Driver, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of bulk liquids across the UK.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Transport bulk liquids in tank containers, adhering to all road safety regulations and ADR regulations.
  • Perform daily Vehicle and Trailer Safety Maintenance checks to ensure the vehicle is in proper working condition.
  • Accurately complete and maintain all relevant paperwork, including delivery notes, driving logs, and compliance records.
  • Ensure all bulk liquid and powder cargo is safely loaded and unloaded according to company procedures and regulations.
  • Communicate effectively and professionally with clients and site staff during deliveries.
  • Follow all Working Time Directive regulations and ensure compliance with drivers' hours and tachograph laws.
  • Strictly follow all health and safety guidelines, particularly when handling hazardous materials.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 12 months Class 1 driving experience.
  • Must hold a current and valid LGV Class One (Category C+E) driving license.
  • Must have completed the required Driver CPC training and hold a valid Driver Qualification Card (DQC).
  • A valid ADR license is required, specifically for the transport of hazardous liquids.
  • Must possess a valid digital tachograph card.
  • Previous experience in transporting bulk liquids is highly preferred.
  • A strong understanding of health and safety regulations, particularly concerning the transportation of dangerous goods, is crucial.
  • Good knowledge of UK roads, motorways, and relevant routes is necessary.
  • Must meet the physical requirements to safely drive long hours and handle the loading/unloading of goods.
