Position Overview:

The primary objective of this role is to oversee and ensure adherence to UNECE R156 – Software Update Management System across all Aston Martin initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure compliance with R156 related processes throughout the department and the broader organization.
  • Facilitate and preside over the Software Update Change Control Board meetings.
  • Evaluate and enhance R156 related workflows to promote efficiency and dependability.
  • Assist in addressing all SUMS-related escalations and guarantee prompt resolutions.
  • Act as a representative for Software Integration during engineering and compliance assessments.
  • Foster positive and constructive relationships with stakeholders at all levels, being attuned to their needs to collaborate effectively.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Comprehensive understanding of UNECE R156 – Software Update Management System regulations, with proven experience in its implementation within an OEM context.
  • Familiarity with systems engineering principles.
  • Experience in delivering automotive software and integration projects.
  • Strong background in process design and execution.
  • Knowledge of, or experience in managing Electrical or Electronics components (HD & SW).
  • Understanding of the Product Development Cycle from inception to market launch.
  • Solid grasp of automotive legislation and certification standards relevant to the EE domain.
  • Effective communication and persuasion abilities.
  • Experience in automotive pre-production build settings.
  • Background in supporting Electrical Engineering vehicle fleets.
  • Ability to handle substantial workloads in a high-pressure environment while prioritizing tasks effectively.
  • Confident and articulate presenter.
