About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Train Refueler to join our team at Hitachi Rail Limited. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient refuelling of our trains, ensuring they are ready for service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Refuel trains with diesel, Ad-Blu, and fresh water, ensuring all systems are functioning correctly.
  • Conduct daily checks of service spine equipment and ensure the area is tidy and clean.
  • Monitor the Maintenance Management System (MMS) to ensure all work is being recorded correctly.
  • Support the maintenance staff as required with corrective and preventative maintenance, complex fault finding, and repair of Hitachi rolling stock assets.
  • Ensure all fluid and material usage is controlled and recorded, and any materials being returned to stores for repair are correctly labelled and processed.

About You

We are looking for an individual with a strong understanding of safe systems of work, good communication skills, and the ability to carry out clear instructions. Experience of supporting a maintenance team on a shift basis in a modern rolling stock maintenance depot environment or similar is essential.
