Principal Data Engineer

At Asset Resourcing Limited, we're seeking a highly skilled Principal Data Engineer to lead the development of our clients' data products. As a key member of our team, you'll be responsible for designing and implementing cloud-based data platforms that are scalable, high-performance, and cost-effective.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the development of cloud data platforms in Azure or AWS, ensuring seamless integration and data processing.
  • Provide strategic leadership and technical expertise in data engineering, IoT analytics, and data integration and migration projects.
  • Establish and maintain coding standards and development practices, ensuring adherence across the organization.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement data pipelines, ETL processes, and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices, applying knowledge to drive innovation and improvement.
Requirements:
  • 5+ years of experience in data engineering or similar roles, with a strong background in cloud data platforms.
  • Extensive experience in ETL and data pipeline design, technology agnostic.
  • Strong knowledge of DataOps practices and awareness of MLOps practices.
  • Database Administration experience, including query optimization and indexing strategies.
  • Knowledge of NoSQL databases and experience implementing solutions using Azure Data Factory, Azure Event Hubs, Azure Data Lake Storage, and other relevant technologies.
