Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced LGV Driver to join our team at Fortec Distribution Network. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for the safe and timely delivery and collection of goods.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and guidelines, including those related to driver hours and vehicle maintenance.
  • Conduct daily vehicle checks to ensure the vehicle is safe and roadworthy.
  • Load and secure goods safely and efficiently, ensuring that all loads are properly tied down and secured.
  • Drive to a safe standard, considering the size and weight of the vehicle, and adhere to all relevant speed limits.
  • Communicate effectively with the Traffic Office and other stakeholders to ensure smooth delivery and collection operations.
  • Complete all necessary paperwork and documentation, including vehicle checks and delivery records.

Requirements:

  • Valid LGV Class 1 license
  • Proven experience as an LGV driver, with a strong understanding of logistics and supply chain operations
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Basic computer skills and familiarity with logistics software

Working Hours:

50 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with variable shift times.
