Job Title: Test and Commissioning Technician

TXM Recruit is seeking a skilled Test and Commissioning Technician to join one of the country's leading rail companies. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for carrying out dynamic testing for several test trains before their release into service.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Carry out complex tasks such as troubleshooting, testing, quality control, tuning, and repairs.
  • Complete test reports, internal adjustments, and pending job information accurately.
  • Verify the electrical and mechanical systems installation and integrity.
  • Perform maintenance and fault rectification tasks on the trainborne test equipment as necessary in accordance with procedures.
  • Report test data to relevant stakeholders.
  • Liaise with relevant systems experts in Engineering to progress commissioning and type testing issues.
Requirements:
  • Relevant experience in rolling stock test and commissioning.
  • Knowledge and experience in TCMS, OTMR data downloading, pneumatics, and rolling stock brake systems.
  • Experience using measuring instruments such as multimeters, recorders, etc.
  • Able to write detailed test reports.
  • Flexible and able to adapt to changing circumstances and provide solutions in a climate of continuous improvement.
  • Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
About the Role:

This is a highly pressured environment that requires someone who can stay positive and calm in difficult and stressful situations. The ideal candidate must have experience with rolling stock test and commissioning and be able to work effectively in a team.

Flexibility is an absolute must, as this position will entail travel (fully expensed) and will have a varying shift pattern to meet the project needs.
