Belcan Workforce Solutions is seeking a skilled Project Planner to work with one of our clients in Chesterfield, UK.

Our Automation & Digitalisation teams deliver projects in various industries, including Nuclear, Food & Beverage, Chemicals & Pharmaceuticals, Energy/Renewables, Metals, and Utilities.

We use a wide range of technology, including Rockwell, Siemens, Schneider, AVEVA, and many more, to deliver solutions such as PLC, HMI, SCADA, MES, Batch, Functional Safety, OT Cyber Security, and Industry 4.0.

As part of our continued growth in Automation, we need a Project Planner to join our team in Chesterfield.

The Project Planner will work closely with the Project Management team and report to the Head of Projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop, operate, and monitor contract programmes to control and execute projects within budget and duration.
  • Produce project schedules compliant with contractual and project time, cost, quality, and scope requirements.
  • Allocate costs from project estimates to project schedules.
  • Liaise with Project Manager, Project Controls, Engineering/Manufacturing/Installation teams, and sub-contractors to gather information for project schedules.
  • Continuously monitor project performance, progress, and report accurate and measurable project status.
  • Identify and highlight critical schedule areas and risks for timely management action.
  • Identify opportunities for improvement, time, and cost savings.
  • Manage multiple project schedules for multiple contracts.
  • Awareness of technical implications and interfaces to programme work effectively.
  • Awareness of planning's impact on safety, quality, and cost considerations.
  • Fluency in Primavera P6 and Excel to provide prompt, accurate, and regular information.
  • Familiarity with Earned Value and ability to analyse project performance.
  • Development and communication of resource requirements to meet project timescales.
  • Production of project schedules for proposals and tenders.
Requirements
  • Previous planning experience.
  • Sufficient experience in EICA and Engineering.
  • Experience working with multidiscipline teams.
  • Software: Primavera P6, MS Project, and Excel.
  • NEC3/4 contracts.
  • Relevant HNC/Degree qualification.
  • QCF Diploma Level 3/5 Planning.
  • APMP Practitioner.
  • Craft training, supported by relevant CPD training.
