How You Can Contribute

Join Boskalis Subsea Services as a Field Engineer, playing a crucial role in both offshore and onshore operations as necessary. In this position, you will serve as the primary contact for mobilization and demobilization activities during port operations. Additionally, you will be an integral member of the offshore engineering team, supporting project execution phases. Your role encompasses the following responsibilities:

  • Act as the main point of contact for mobilizations and de-mobilizations.
  • Fulfill project engineering responsibilities as part of the offshore project team.
  • Provide onshore assistance to projects and initiatives as required.

Your Key Responsibilities:

The primary duties and responsibilities associated with this role include, but are not limited to:

  • Review deck plans, lift plans, and mobilization plans prior to deployment, offering vessel-specific feedback on optimizations or potential issues.
  • Lead mobilization and demobilization efforts to ensure activities are conducted safely and efficiently, adhering to approved deck plans or modifications as necessary through the Management of Change process.
  • Collaborate with future project teams to address technical inquiries and facilitate the transfer of vessel-specific information, including operational preferences, in a timely manner.
  • Identify synergies in equipment and tooling between outgoing and incoming projects to promote cross-utilization and cost efficiency.
  • Ensure all project equipment is delivered with appropriate documentation and certification, and is tested prior to departure, while preparing manifests for equipment return upon demobilization.
  • Oversee the certification of any long-term hires or permanent project vessel equipment, assessing and communicating any loss or damage.
  • Facilitate effective demobilizations, supporting the accurate manifesting of backloaded equipment in coordination with project team members and managing cross-hired equipment.
  • Engage with the Operations Support team to keep them informed of all current vessel deck equipment, tooling, and SOPs as requested.

Project Engineering Duties:

The Field Engineer will also be expected to take on the role of Project Engineer/Senior Project Engineer during the offshore project phase.

  • An engineering qualification (HNC or above) or relevant expertise gained through practical experience in all aspects of the Field Engineer role.
  • A minimum of 1-2 years of offshore experience within project environments.
  • Experience in the subsea industry.
  • Opito BOSIET/FOET with CA-EBS, MIST, and OGUK Medical certifications.
