About The Position
HomeServe is actively seeking a Senior Financial Accountant to become a vital part of our Finance Team. The ideal candidate will be in the process of completing their professional qualifications, such as ACA, ACCA, or CIMA, and possess a solid understanding of accounting principles.
As a key member of our team, you will demonstrate expertise in accounting practices, particularly in relation to Fixed Assets and Lease accounting standards. Your role will involve overseeing and managing balance sheet accounting, which necessitates a higher level of experience and qualifications.
We embrace a hybrid working model, allowing for remote work while requiring occasional visits to the office for team collaboration. Therefore, candidates should be situated within a reasonable commuting distance.
The Financial Reporting & Control (FR&C) department is accountable for the financial accounting, reporting, control, and processing for HomeServe Membership and various other group entities.
The Senior Financial Accountant specializing in fixed assets will play a crucial role in the preparation and reconciliation of all internal and external Fixed Assets reporting, including inputs for statutory accounts, Corporation Tax, Carbon Emissions, and mandatory reporting requirements.
Key Responsibilities include:Reconciliation Management - Generate monthly balance sheet reconciliations for Leases, Tangible, and Intangible fixed assets for review and approval by Senior Management.
